Happy Mother's Day!

I love Mother's Day.  I love it more than my birthday.  It is the one day of the year that everyone actually acknowledges the blood, sweat, and tears that goes into raising a child, especially a Baby Yoy.

I had a wonderful weekend with my family and wish we could observe Mother's Day every day of the year.

Here are a few helpful hints to help Mr. Yoy and my kids keep the spirit of this sacred holiday alive year-round:

1)  Offering to change all diapers
2)  Weekly spa days
3)  Never arguing/talking back
4) Telling me how wonderful I am, multiple times a day***

***As I am typing this, Mr. Yoy called to tell me what a good Mommy I was.  Maybe he doesn't need the helpful hints.

Hi folks! A quick note from Mrs. Yoy as I know it's been awhile. For those that know me personally, you know that I've been very vocal in unsuccessfully convincing the Cobb County School board to change their COVID policies, which to this day, remain a steaming pile of sh*t. We follow zero health guidelines and figuring out the quarantine policy is akin to solving that math problem from Good Will Hunting. I will be publishing the letters I've sent to the board and Superintendent over the last 18 days of school. I've heard back from my representative, who is lovely, and my pediatric dentist who also serves on the board, but it's been crickets from the voting block of four and the Superintendent, Chris Ragsdale. April 13th. Day 28.

Day 28. School's back in session. This transition from Spring Break back to school went much smoother than in years' past. Mostly because we didn't get startled awake at 6AM by our alarms. I think the boys were legitimately bored last week. The novelty of doing nothing all day for a week, coming off of doing mostly nothing all day for a month, made this strikingly obvious for them. Little E even asked me to print out all of his assignments so he could get workin'. This was after we went for a nice walk. Yes, I got him to walk. (P.E. = CHECK) Our screen-free weekend experiment, born out of Big E slugging Little E in the shoulder blade, causing him to lose feeling in his arm, continued into today. Except they must use computers to do their schoolwork. My compromise was allowing Big E to use my desktop, a MAC, which he was oddly against. He had to code a website for an ELA project and he had to research how to do it, because it was different from his PC. But he...

Big E: He Knows No Boundaries

Greetings from Florida!  There have been many things to blog about, but I caught a case of the lazies and haven't been motivated to write.  Plus, my parents bought a computer with the new windows operating system and it might as well be DOS. Today, everything changed. My parents' neighborhood has a kiddie pool.  Said pool is riddled with my parents' neighbors' kids and grandchildren escaping the frozen tundra of Kansas City, Boston, and Long Island, just to name a few. Big E loves the kiddie pool.  We are usually the first ones to arrive and then Big E's "friends" begin to trickle in. I put friends in quotes because within minutes of meeting, Big E has made forever friends with the kids (and their parents). This morning we met a family from Boston.  Their son was almost two and very adventurous.  Let's just say this kid drank a ton of pool water, even with his dad shadowing his every move.
